Find a medical mission/volunteer opportunity
If you would like to volunteer internationally, there are several organizations you can check out to find the right experience for you. These organizations all have teams going on a regular basis. Many are looking for healthcare workers and some also accept other kinds of volunteers (e.g. photographer or blogger, project manager, etc) Please mention that you were referred by HPIC.
Once you commit to a volunteer experience, don’t forget to bring the medicines you will need! Contact HPIC for a Humanitarian Medical Kit.

Global Brigades is a movement for global health and holistic development which aims to improve equality of life by igniting student-led social responsibility movements. Students from universities across Canada are the driving force behind the execution. Please contact your department to find out if there is a Global Brigades chapter at your university.

Your university may also have student associations, international elective programs or global health programs that run medical missions overseas. Please contact your department for more information.
