Physician Travel Pack

PTPPhysician Travel Pack

Each year hundreds of Canadian healthcare professionals and other humanitarians go on medical missions. Physician Travel Packs (PTPs) are carried by people working in a variety of situations, such as a Canadian doctor practicing in a remote part of Brazil for two weeks or a larger Canadian team heading to Kenya for two months.

HPIC fills a unique role as a relief and development organization. We work with Canada's pharmaceutical and healthcare products industries to provide the highest quality in-date products for use in developing countries where the needs are great.

What is the PTP?

A PTP consists of two boxes of assorted essential medicines and medical supplies that can treat up to 600 children and adults. The PTP contains the primary care medical products most requested by Canadian doctors. In fact, the PTP was designed by Canadian doctors with field experience .

In 1994 HPIC assembled and distributed its first PTP. Since that time the growth of the program has been staggering – from five PTP's in 1994 to 885 in 2010.

You can request a PTP by applying online. If your application is approved, we'll ship it to your Canadian address, eliminating hours of searching for the right products yourself.

HPIC is proud to say that each PTP is packed with care by a team of faithful volunteers.
