Physician and Dental Travel PacKS are packed by a team of volunteers at HPIC’s Distribution Centre in Mississauga.

Every new volunteer takes part in a thorough screening and training process before joining the team and twice a year they receive refreshers in Health and Safety and procedures.

Aside from packing PTPs, volunteers from several different associations knit Izzy dolls that are included in the packs. These small, soft toys serve as packing material, and offer pleasure and comfort to the children who come to the doctor for treatment.

In addition to our Travel Pack volunteers, HPIC also benefits from volunteers in Montreal who help with mailings and office work. In total, HPIC is honoured to count about 75 volunteers.
