Izzy Dolls

UPDATE: Our knitters had been working really hard over the last year and HPIC had received overwhelming and heart-warming support with donations of Izzy Dolls. With the increase in the number of emergencies we have been able to ship many Izzy Dolls and we now need more! We also ask our volunteers to also consider making knitted/crocheted/sewn baby blankets and hats which will be needed for our maternal and child health projects in Kenya. All is welcome!

New to the Izzy Doll and knitting?

HPIC has been blessed by the art of knitters that reside around Canada. They donate their time to knit Izzy Dolls that are placed inside HPIC’s Humanitarian Medical Kits.

Doctors and healthcare professionals who carry the kits packed with essential medicines and supplies, give Izzy Dolls to their youngest patients. Sometimes the handmade little doll is a child’s first toy.

Humanitarian Medical Kits put essential and life-saving medicines into the hands of doctors so that people can be treated and healed. The Izzy Dolls, which are used to fill up the boxes in lieu of packing styrofoam bring joy to sick children living in vulnerable communities around the world

“Every year, HPIC’s provides thousands of dolls to children in need through Humanitarian Medical Kits.”
