Volunteer at Our Warehouse

From corporate teams to community groups to family and friends, HPIC’s volunteers are the fuel that keeps our mission going.

Volunteers are the heart of HPIC.

HPIC is always looking for help to pack Humanitarian Medical Kits. These kits equip travelling healthcare professionals and missions teams with the medicine they need to provide vital healthcare in vulnerable communities around the world.

If you are interested in a volunteering opportunity at our Oakville Distribution Centre, please fill out the Volunteer Inquiry Form and we will get back to you within 3-4 business days.

Please note that at this time, we are fully booked for 2024. Please follow us on social media for updates on Drop-in Packing Opportunities.

Our team will do its best to handle new requests and schedule groups for volunteering. We currently only offer one volunteer opportunity per group/organization for the year.

We offer an impactful experience for groups of up to 12 people. Shifts typically take place between 9am-1pm. We include an educational presentation about what HPIC is doing around the world, HPIC Trivia, our Virtual Reality Experience, and of course our packing time. If groups choose to arrange a catered lunch onsite, we will gladly set up for you!

We also ask all volunteers to make it part of their volunteer contribution to support our everyday work with a financial donation. Every $10 we receive will help mobilize and deliver $100 in medicines and allow HPIC’s operations, including volunteer experiences, to remain active.

HPIC is doing our best to keep everyone safe and healthy.

While we will not be checking the vaccination status of our visitors, we do encourage everyone visiting our site to ensure that their vaccinations are up to date. We also respectfully ask that all visitors do their best to follow the health and safety precautions noted below:

  • If you have felt sick, or have been recently exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please take a rapid antigen test before attending any of our facilities
  • We ask that you sanitize your hands upon arrival and practice frequent hand washing
*Please note: we will always follow the latest mandates from Health Canada.
