Supporting Local Healthcare Providers through our NGO Networks: On the Ground in Honduras

HPIC partners with NGOs, local organizations, governments and health facilities to increase access to medicines and medical supplies in vulnerable communities around the world. These partnerships improve the delivery of health services and the development of healthy and more productive communities in low-income areas.

Throughout the years, our medicines have allowed breadwinners to go back to work, caregivers to continue looking after their family, and children to go back to school.

Since 2008, HPIC has been working with Food for the Poor Canada (FFPC) to ship medicines and medical supplies to communities in need. FFPC partners with a local organization in Honduras to distribute the supplies to health clinics, hospitals, and outreach programs.

A local doctor from a hospital in Honduras shared the impact of these shipments:

“The donations from HPIC and Food for the Poor Canada covered so many needs, benefited a great number of people, and helped us as physicians to fully trust the medicines we give to patients. Lastly, it served as a financial support for our patients as it directly impacted their monthly spending needs and budget.”
